A joke was once told. A city was having problems with pigeons. No matter what they tried, they could not eradicate their pigeon infestation. Finally, they sought the advice of a local preacher. The mayor asked the preacher, "How can we eradicate our pigeon infestation?"
"That's easy," replied the preacher. "Baptize them."
Unfortunately, this joke reflects a truth that we often witness in church life. Jesus teaches us that we must be born again (John 3:3). But what does that mean? How is someone born again? Who is born again?
